People like what they like. Their preferences may be influenced by environment (i.e. turned off by Blondes because he had an overbearing Blonde mother). Now if someone is so ignorant to not be open to dating you because" of your skin color, well that's their loss. I mean look at Halle Berry. She's beautiful. If you would turn her down just cuz of her being mixed with a different race, that's your loss. Now cultural differences? That's a valid argument. I mean, I always have been attracted to and dated white guys. But culturally? There are differences - some of which I am cool with, some I'm not. What upsets me is that I think some white guys don't give me a chance because of "perceived" cultural differences and/or pressure from friends, family, society to stay within their race. I mean, I was at the doctor to do my annual check up and had a new doctor and when I told her the breed of dogs I had, she admitted being surprised that I had those breeds. and that's a decision that I didn't make trying to be white or anything. I just got one dog than another one. She probably would been even more surprised if she knew what kind of vehicle I drive and music that I listen to (Hip hop, country, EDM, classical, pop, salsa/bachata/reggae-rap). Attracted is one thing, another is if they will act on it and/or if they have a concern about cultural differences (actual or perceived). I don't know. I'm Black/Hispanic and only date white guys and find it difficult to find guys who are open to dating us. Not sure if it's where I live, or what I mentioned above.
